Movie Review: War Horse

  Movie Review: War Horse

Emotional, up-lifting, and compassionate; Steven Spielberg brings World War 1 to life. Based on a famous Broadway play, (click on the following link for more details http://ppc.broadway.com/shows/war-horse/) War Horse is about  a teenage boy named Albert Narracott (Jeremy Irvine), who watches a baby horse be born in the fields. Meanwhile, his father wins the same horse in an auction because he is struck with the horses magnificent strength and beauty. Young Albert takes care of the horse every single second of the day, including teaching him how to plow, to ride, and to "stay".  But all that hard work didn't pay off, because his father sends the horse into the army; considering that they owe too much money.

You won't believe what a journey this horse goes on throughout this war. He meets different people, goes through terrifying things, and is determined to meet his true owner once again. When we were going to our local Redbox kiosk and we got the movie, some people in our house though it was going to be just one of those regular horse movies. Let me tell you, War Horse made me feel the emotions that the horse felt. It was almost like the horse was trying to tell the viewers something. I give War Horse a 5/5 stars.
